José Hernández comes to Dallas to present his book: “Reaching to the Stars” and will share his fascinating life of impressive achievements and the meaning of persistence.
On Saturday, middle school students from grades 6-8 will participate in a full day of fun activities and will explore the world of science engineering.
Astronaut José Hernández became the first migrant farmworker to become a NASA Astronaut. He was selected as part of the 19th class of US Astronauts in 2004, and on August 28, 2009 he was assigned to the STS-128 Space Shuttle Discovery mission as the flight engineer on a 14-day mission to the International Space Station.
